Hello, my name is La J'ai Ayanna Reed. I have a bachelor of arts in mass communication with a minor in coaching, and a master of science in sports and fitness administration with a concentration in sport management.

"Life's a court. There you work. There you play. There you learn." This quote derived from my analogous thoughts on the similarities between playing basketball and living life. After playing basketball with my high school team for five seasons, I realized that my greatest passion was to stay connected to athletics and optimize the experiences of athletes of the future.

The same values that the quote listed so basically, I apply to my career. As I further pursue employment in sport and fitness administration, I have been able to work, play, and learn, all while discovering the many ins and outs of both industries. Whether I am coaching young ladies on the sideline; gathering data for a research presentation; or creating social media content, I am solely invested in the fact that my work is an extension of myself. In all of my pursuits, I endeavor to approach them full of personality and determination. I rarely back down from a challenge, and I am always eager to learn new skills.

Outside of my everyday tasks in school and my occupation, I am a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.; freelance as a sport content creator.

My passions for athletics, public speaking and writing, leadership, and advocacy culminate perfectly in the sports media/administration field, and is directing my professional path. I have a keen interest in making a difference in local communities through the perquisites of athletics, sports, and recreation.
